Cocoa Beach is one of our favorite places to go as a family. It is days filled with long hours out by the ocean, playing in the sand, lots of boogie board races, bright colored snow cones, and the most delicious fresh seafood.  The beach is also a place where we are able to unplug for a little while and really reconnect with each other. Its days spent with no schedules and that makes it just perfect! Normally, we stick to our favorite local beach hangouts but this trip we found some new places to add to the list! This trip took an unexpected turn because our curly top caught his foot on the screen door and sliced it wide open! He was the bravest little guy I’ve ever seen.  Five stitches, and a trip to Target and we were back in business! He spent the rest of the trip on the sidelines, with his foot bandaged, bagged in a ziploc, and wrapped in cellophane. It was the best job I could do! On the last couple of days I was able to take him in the pool (leg out of course) and pull him on the boogie board. He was such a trooper though! 🙂

Ok so now on to our latest and greatest finds in Cocoa Beach! I’m telling you if you are in the area and heading to the beach these are definitely places to check out!

Jazzy’s Mainly Lobster has the BEST blackened Mahi. It can be a little a pricey but we love it because you can go in beach cover ups and salty hair and no one cares!

Acai express is a new find and a healthy one! Their bowls are delicious and really filling. We tried just about every acai bowl and smoothie and enjoyed them all.

The Fat Donkey is another place we found this trip. If you are looking for some ice cream on a hot summer night this is the place! They even have a waffle cone filled with a slice of key lime pie, strawberries, and vanilla ice cream! It was a giant cone of deliciousness! 😉

Oasis Shaved Ice is for sure a must! This is one of our absolute favorites! All the syrups are made from scratch and are yummy. They also just started serving food and their cheeseburgers and seasoned fries are ah-mazing! The stuffed butter beer, and mango+blue raspberry are some of our favorite combos!
