I’m always looking for new ways to keep my littles eating healthy. One way I have found to keep them interested in eating their fruits and veggies is to reinvent ways to snack on them! Adding sprinkles, or dip may be just what the doctored ordered to keep them happy and munching. Last week we made these apples sprinkle wheels and they were such a hit! The great thing about these are you can really let your littles (or you) get creative. We used almond butter, nutella, and of course sprinkles (because sprinkles make everything taste better;) )Almonds, raisins, cranberries, peanut butter, and mini chocolate chips are just some of the toppings that would be yummy.
I really enjoy cooking and creating with my littles. I have noticed that when I let them be in charge of making their snacks they eat more! There is always more messes to clean but at least their bellies are full, right? Anytime the sprinkles come out, we head outside to the patio to add those bright colored touches. Can you imagine my kitchen after 4 littles have their hands in the sprinkles?! It’s enough to make you crazy, I promise! 😉
This week we are all still trying to get used to this back to school life! ugh… I’m in a love/hate relationship with the school year! I love the learning, growing, and schools but hate the early mornings, the homework struggles, and being on a schedule! #thestruggleisreal !
Have a great week everyone!
