Georgia Getaway

Last week we packed up our crew and headed to meet up with the rest of our family to spend some time in Georgia. We all stayed together in a beautiful home in Reynolds Plantation. We had 8 adults, and 10 children (10 and under ) all in the same house! It was so much fun to be able to spend the weekend together. It was the ultimate cousin sleepover party! The cousins got along perfectly, (anyone with kids knows what a blessing this can be!) they all played till late in the evening. Friday was picture perfect weather so we decided to head to Ritz Carlton and spend the day at the lake. The kids played basketball, on the playground, played in the pool, and hot tub. Most of them were even brave enough to swim in the FREEZING lake! ( I swear I think the water was like 60 degrees!) The brave ones swam all the way to the floating platforms, and played a bit! I couldn’t believe it! After their polar bear swim we loaded up on some pontoon boats and headed out to explore the lake. We ended our day with fishing and good food by the hot tub. It was a perfectly busy lake day! Unfortunately, this was our only good lake day, the weather on Saturday was terrible. A full day of thunderstorms, and lots and lots of rain. We managed to swim in the indoor pool, to burn off some of the cousins energy but not much more than that. Sunday morning we packed up and headed home and drove home through flash flood warnings, and even tornado watches! Not the best travel weather but we took it slow and eventually made it home safely. Spending time with our family this weekend was so much fun, lots of memories were made, and it means so much to have all the cousins be the best of friends. I shared some of the pictures from our one good lake day below if you want to check them out!

*side note- Geoffrey was here on the trip, he just somehow escaped the camera!;) that sneaky guy!
