Marshmallow Poppers

During summer vacation I really try to let go of all the schedules and really just embrace the free time and enjoy being less busy. However, easier schedules can also mean that the littles are left with more time to cause chaos and messes, so I like to keep some simple activities on hand for moments like that. These marshmallow poppers are so easy to make and will keep the littles busy for a long time! These two thought it was so cool to be able to shoot marshmallows in the house! *On a side note- It does help to set a perimeter of where to shoot because I caught these two trying to sneak up stairs to shoot from the balcony!! 🙂 This would also be perfect to do on a rainy summer afternoon! What are your favorite activities to keep your kids busy?

MARSHMALLOW POPPERS

Plastic cups

balloons

marshmallows

scissors

First, cut the bottom of the cup off.

Next, tie a knot in the balloon, and then cut off the top (about an inch).

Place the balloon around the rim of the cup, knot facing out.(This will be the trigger for the popper)

Fill the cup with marshmallows and then pull the knot and let the popping begin!

Happy Popping!
